    Hi,
After the recent update of the live-weatherstation plugin I get the following error message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘class’ (T_CLASS), expecting identifier (T_STRING) or variable (T_VARIABLE) or ‘{‘ or ‘$’ in /home1/ab13/public_html/wp-content/plugins/live-weather-station/includes/classes/WidgetBase.php on line 55
Unfortunately, that makes it impossible to log in to the site, even as wp-admin

  • Hello @jonped.
Sorry to hear you have this issue.
I’m afraid it’s due to an old PHP version on your server. Weather Station needs PHP 7.1 at least (see here for detail).
To validate that it comes from there, could you tell me what’s your PHP version?

    Thanks.

    Hi,
yes that seems to be true. As far as I can see from the hostgator cpanel 5.4 is used (I had not updated because another plugin would not work).
I will update and see what happens.
