I have a custom post type with required custom fields created in Pods. When a required field is not entered and “Save Draft” button is clicked, all fields (except WYSIWYG) are highlighted in red, with text above reminding the user that “[Field name] is required.”

However, there is no warning on the WYSIWYG field, so when “Save Draft” is clicked with an empty required WYSIWYG field, an empty screen with the text “[Field name] is empty. < Back”. After clicking on the “Back” linked text, the user is returned to the form, but all of the fields are empty.

Why does the WYSIWYG field type behave differently than the other fields? Why are the fields emptied?

    TIA!
