    Hi there,

I have been using WP staging with no problem until now. I updated a staging site that I created for another plugin support to check issues on. Now, my home page is blank except for the header and navigation, and the admin bar missing.

I can see and edit the page from admin pages menu, but when I try to update the page I get a 500 error.

Home page on the live site is blank, I meant to say.

I also noticed that when I navigated to the staging site’s url, it came back as my regular admin bar and a 404 page. I am looking into pushing a vaultpress back up to restore the homepage, but I was hoping for a fix that did not require that.

I tried to push an update through Vaultpress, and it had an SQL error.

Did this plugin change the SQL tables regarding my homepage?

Please let me know if you need admin credentials. I need help with this badly.

    Hello @valarsh

WP Staging free version does not touch your live site at all. So I am pretty sure that your issue has been caused by something else like installing or updating another plugin. Are you 100% certain that you di not do anything else around the time of updating the staging site?

Did this plugin change the SQL tables regarding my homepage?

No, WP Staging does not change any of your database tables. It only creates new tables prefixed by its own table prefix beginning with wpstg_

Have you already tried to activate the WordPress debug mode to check out if there are any fatal errors on your site?

How to activate WordPress Debug Mode:
    https://wp-staging.com/docs/enable-wordpress-debug-log-mode/

What was the exact error message?

Thanks for your reply! I can now see that WP Staging was not the issue and did not cause the issue.

A specialist from VaultPress reached out to me and told me that it was caused by a fatal php error in my theme, and told me to reach out to my theme author.

Thanks for letting me know @valarsh
Good to hear that you are able to solve it.

I would be delighted if you like to take a minute of your time if you like to rate wp staging:-)

    Cheers
    René
