Hi Phil,
If you’re trying to uninstall the plugin then you can go to Mega Menu > Tools and Delete plugin data. That will remove all locations as well as your themes and any other MMM data.
Otherwise you’ll need to access your database directly, in the wp_options table delete the row which is identified by ‘megamenu_locations’.

Thanks for your reply
I assume the variety of menu locations populate automatically.
I wanted to keep Mega Menu, just wanted to delete some of the enormous number of locations that I will never use that crowd the menu area on my dashboard

Hi Phil,
I am not sure if this is resolved or not.
Did you manually create the ‘hundreds of locations’ yourself? If so, you can delete them one by one under Mega Menu > Menu Locations.

I have a number of menu locations and membership levels which I think is the reason for so many combinations of location.
At some point I did select ‘add another menu location’ (silly me) and now I have all the combinations of menu location repeated with ‘location 1’ at the start.
If I try to delete them one by one, I have to respond to the popup ‘I you sure?’ then confirm, then select ‘save’ – for each one!
Hi Phil,
I understand that, but did you manually create the locations yourself? I.e. did you click the ‘create a new menu location’ button 100 times, or did you click it once and (for example) 100 locations were created?
If they are automatically created (it sounds like they are) then I think if you delete the ‘master’ location then their auto generated companions should be deleted too.
If you manually created each one then the only quick way to remove them would be to remove them directly from the database (see my first reply), otherwise I’m afraid it would be quickest to sit for 10 or so minutes and click away.
