I installed the AMP for wordpress plugin Version 1.0.2 into my website which was running the woocommerce Version 3.5.7 plugin, the website is successfully validated for amp. However, as expected the checkout and cart pages were not validated and i am aware that its normal for that. However, i tested a purchase and everything looked fine until i finished entering delivery details on the checkout page and clicked “place order”. Nothing happened. “place order” normally takes the user to the payment gateway where credit card processing is done to take payment.

I refreshed the page and entered details again and still i could not go to the next step when i click “place order”.

Has anyone else encountered this? How did you solve it? Your kind assistance is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Which mode of the plugin are you using? I’m assuming Native?

You should be disabling AMP on the checkout page so that the plugin’s JS will be included. I presume the broken functionality is due to missing JS (though I’m kinda surprised there isn’t a no-JS fallback).

Yes, I was using it in native mode. May I know how to disable AMP on the checkout page please? I am using the sparkling theme with Woocommerce Version 3.5.7 plugin.

I admit I’m not an expert on WooCommerce. Is the checkout page an actual page in WordPress? If so, you can just toggle AMP off for that one page. You can find the “AMP Enabled” toggle in the publish metabox on the edit screen.

    works perfectly now.

By the way, the original top navigation menu on all the pages do not work. is there a way to fix this? I tried to put some amp navigation on the head-bar in there and it worked on amp. But this still shows up on my webpage when browsing on my computer. i have amp enabled natively .

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

@chris201901 Please share the URL to the site where this problem occurs. Also, what exactly is broken? Some kind of dropdown functionality or just styling?
