archives and pagination

Hi…I’m sorry if this has been asked but I can’t seem to find the answers…
I’m trying to do a couple of specific things with my archives. I just converted from MT so I guess I’m used to the way things were done?
I have over 4 years of previous entries, and it is going to take up too much space to list every month. This was always a problem with MT as well. I need to be able to list my archives by year, and by category. It might even be nice to be able to list each year with a monthly calendar or something of the sort, maybe on a new page.
Also, I would really like my archives to show up as a list of titles only instead of summaries or whole entries. I have way too many entries per month to do it this way.
Additionally, I am wondering if there is a way to paginate each entry “previous entry” and “next entry”.
