• I am trying to develop this real estate site and I have placed several sizes of the feature image in the library, but for some reason Pixel is clipping off this image of the Gateway park. I have tried changing the CSS and it isn’t helping. I see object-fit in the CSS but turning it off doesn’t help either. I have even added image scaling to the css and max width of 90% but nothing helps. Weird thing is that the default image from the library for the beaches doesn’t get clipped.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Are you using Jetpack by chance? If so, is the Photon module activated? I believe it crops images.

I turned off accelerated images, replaced the featured image, deleted the cache and I still see the problem.

Seems like it won’t release a stored image created by WP that I’ve replaced:

Do you have image dimensions set inside your list settings? If so, you’ll want to remove them to prevent it from cropping the image.

I don’t see any list settings anywhere. Nothing in CSS If in Customize I can’t find them.
What do you mean? It appears to be cropping the Featured image? I went into via ftp and deleted any cropped images and then Placed this image again in a featured image, and WP then created a new image and cropped it again! https://skiles-tx.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/gateway400-800×533.png

Something in the pixel settings is causing this behavior. I am going to try to edit directly the offending image in an art program to see if I can fix it. Very annoying.

I was able to edit the created image above and put within it a non-clipped image and upload it with the same name. That fixed it but it shouldn’t be happening at all.

It’s actually in the WP Show Posts settings – not Pixel or GeneratePress. If you go into “WP Show Posts” in your Dashboard and find the list that shows those images on your home page. In there, you’ll see an image tab which has image sizes defined.
