I double checked this. I can confirm that a border is applied to both languages at the same time regardless if the active/hover/normal is selected. I’ll message David and let him know about it.

The behavior is like you describe.
But the border setting is not synced at all, it is just one setting. The style settings for Normal / Hover / Active are only going until the first small divider line in those style settings. The rest is “global”.
The reason is simple: we were forking this widget from a similar plugin and took over the structure, which made a lot of sense.
But we agree, that it might be useful to have border settings different for the 3 states. So we want to add those as well. This will most likely happen in a next update (minor version).

I am marking this topic as resolved at this point in time. Technically speaking this is a feature request which we have added to our internal road map (thank you for this!) and should be released in the next major version which would be V1.1.0.
