    How long does the image optimization process take?

    I use a CDN, and I’m concerned that if the images are processed in the background by cron, that if someone visits the page before the image has been optimized, that the image that’s stored on my CDN would be the unoptimized one, and as my cdn stores the files for a month and its a news site the pages have a short shelf life, I’m thinking that I wouldn’t benefit from the optimisation till its too late.

    Hi,

    Depends on how many images you have , image size, and network speed between your site and our image servers , so can’t really say how long it takes.

    but a CDN should provide you a feature to clean up the CDN cache if you desire to.
