move site from wp subdirectory

    I created my website some years ago and now want to use WordPress. I have installed wordpress, which seems to be in the /wp subdirectory.
    I created my new site with wordpress which I access via mywebsite/wp/admin

    My question is, how do I get my new site live and stop using the old one?
