Hi,
Sorry for my late reply, dint see your message.
So I went to the link you indicated, but didn’t find any loss on image quality, also it’s calling the same image file, so there is no reason for that to occur.
Nevertheless I see you are using Jetpack image cloud? Maybe there is something related to that compression?
You should also update the pluign.
Get back to me.
Cheers,
David
Thanks for the reply…no worries I just need to get this live next week.
The odd thing is when I disable your plugin the images are fine. It’s very subtle a flip the image loads twice it seems for sure and the skull if where you can see it ever so slightly flip. I am seeing it in other browsers too, but with the plugin disabled, it’s fine with the original WP images. I can disable the WP image serving but again, the images are fine…I am not sure if the theme (storefront) CSS is messing with it or not but before I bought it I wanted to make sure it was that or something else. It’s very odd. I am trying to capture on video as well
Here is a recording it’s subtle but if you pause or backup you can see it. 26-27 seconds in..

Hey,
I really cant reproduce the issue.
– Have you tried setting the main image size? WooCommerce > SVI > Global > Image?
– You certain you view at 100% scale on the browser?
– Have you tried in a different computer?
My plugin doesn’t manipulate the images in any way, I show what the server sends me.

I zoomed so you could see the nuance of the image changing. I have tried from all three browsers (same machine) don’t have another one to try from and disabling it the issue goes away with the stock Woo images. I can try the global image settings but yes this has me baffled..
I see no CSS issue here.
Whats adding the ?fit=416%2C624&ssl=1 ?
Cheers,
David
that’s what I saw as well…I seem to recall that being an issue before maybe with jetpack….hmmm….I have to go back but it looks familiar to something I ran into before now that you mention it out loud…
No that was the SSL part for sure but the FIT statement I am not sure but I did see that too. I thought it was the plugin so let me see if that is still there with it disabled. and dig into that a little.
Okay so messing with the SVI image size settings is helping. I use SMUSH as well to provide different image sizes. It seems the default woo image aspect was the issue. I think it’s working better now. Thanks for the direction on that!
Hey! Great news!
I will be closing this ticket now.
Would really appreciate a review if possible.
Cheers,
David
