Login redirect Loop?

I installed the plugin, setup a “Subscriber” role user and tested it using Firefox. Worked fine.

However, trying it on other devices/browsers, I (and other tester) cannot log in. After entering login details, the login screen reloads.

In some instances I have been able to log in by relaoding the target page address several times (clearing the redirect information tagged to the address).

This will not work with the avergae ‘subscriber’.

What is the cause? How can I solve it?

Background:

After installing the WP Members plugin I installed 2 other plugins to (1) remove the WP admin bar (“Hide Admin Bar from Non-Admins” to prevent visitors to change the profile and to improve the appearance of the site) and (2) to log out automatically aftr a set time (since Subscribers do not have acces to the admin bar, so can’t log out).

When I expereinced the problems with logging in, I disabled these plugins but it did not solve the problem. The “Hide Admin Bar from Non-Admins” plugin has been activated again.

For this site, I actually only need one “Subscriber” to give many people access.
