• Hi there people i have a strange query and forgive me for not searching for this but i’ve no idea what term you would use to describe this mechanism accurately:

I have a website on which wordpress is installed. And there are (or at least will be, seperate sub sections for each area. Each would be it’s own blog, with sections on (for instance) “writing” “music” “photos” “videos” “programming”.

I would like also, a “on top”/ parent / root blog that features the blog updates about all of these sub-areas, for general interest readers, like a “main page” type affair, but on which i can post additional blogs which do not make their way to the sub-sections. Is this possible, and if so does anyone have any tips on how?

    thanks!

  • You need to create categories for that and assign each post to a category.

You should search for recent posts or features post plugin.

If you don’t want a post to show up a category, create a category and don’t display it on website.
