I first noticed when the link overview report showed clicks for a links where I had no pageview in analytics and also no clicks tracked at affiliate.

I then tested after mid night when the clicks were 0. I clicked one of the links myself and the report showed 5 different links clicked. I checked the table that stores links clicked and there are definately 5 entries.

My website is new so I have very little traffic and I checked analytics to make sure when I tested there was no othrr traffic.

I would like to purchase the pro but this is a deal breaker for me if its recording wrong click data.

  • Hi @hreviews,

    Thanks for contacting us here.

The ThirstyAffiliates > Reports > Link Overview shows how many clicks are made to your affiliate links per given time period.

Please make sure to enable the Enable Enhanced Javascript Redirect on Frontend on ThirstyAffiliates > Settings > Link Appearance to get more accurate reporting. Also when testing, I suggest clicking it from a different browser/incognito or another device.

Regarding the analytics, it’s possible that you have it set up to exclude your own IP address, which could be the reason why it doesn’t get a page view. And please keep in mind that the ThirstyAffiliates free version doesn’t support integration with Google Analytics, only the Pro version has the Click Tracking module which connects it to your Google Analytics account.

I hope this helps! Let me know if there’s anything else that I can assist you with!

    Best regards,

Enhanced Javascript Redirect is already enabled

Regarding the analytics, I don’t have any exclusion on own IP. Looking at the report today again, the clicks registered are all over the place.

I am using a cache plugin called WP Fastest Cache and I am wondering if thirstyaffiliates has any issues with cache?

    Hi @hreviews,

Thanks for getting back to me.

It would be best to test it with your caching plugin disabled and using a different window or incognito browser.

Could you please drop a message to our support form and kindly include some screenshots, information and temporary admin credential to your site so I could investigate further.

Here’s the link to our form: https://thirstyaffiliates.com/support/support-request-form

Also, please address the ticket to me so I can pick it up from our system.

Thank you and I’m looking forward to your response.
