Hi, I have a website I built for a client that is a private blog. You need an invitation to register and the posts are only visible to those logged in. The system works great so far on another theme and before I turn on astra I have to set up one more thing for him. The one issue I have is on the current theme, when you are not logged in, you don’t see any posts but at least you see an error message. It was a type of “not found” message that I customized to say “You are not logged in. Please log in to view all posts”. In Astra, when not logged in, I get the header, the sidebar and the footer and then a blank white screen. It’s not good at directing people what to do. Of course we want the homepage to display latest posts. Does anybody know how to make it display something. I am comfortable going into the files (index.php, etc) if I have enough general guidance.

    Thanks!

I came up with a different method to make the site private. I used a plug-in Force login. This made the question irrelevant. Out of curiosity would still be cool to know but it’s not worth putting much time into learning. I guess I can’t delete this post so I thought I’d just reply and Mark resolved

    Hi @webbuildermn ,

Just to let you know that as of now we don’t have any inbuilt feature of disabling the post for logout users.

But I guess the third party plugin would do the job. And it seems you have already figured it out by using force login plugin.
