Converting WordPress.com to hosted site

I need some help. I have my domain kitkaplan.com registered at one place and forwarded to my wordpress blog kitkaplan.wordpress.com

I want to set up a hosted site at hostgator and installed WP in a subdirectory at kitkaplan.com/web and was planning to set up the site, make it pretty and then change the DNS to the new host.

I can see the content but no theme is applied and when I login I go to my kitkaplan.wordpress.com admin page.

I asked the host to set me up so I can use the ip address but the theme still does not apply and I still can’t login.

I have 12 WP.com client who want to go to hosting but I have to have the new site set up before I redirect the DNS.

How do I move these sites without the site being down?
