    Hi everyone,

at the moment I have a pretty permalinks structure enabled.
However I wish to link from other sites to the default permalinks structure.

For instance to blog post ?p=X, How do I find a blog post number? So I can link properly to it.

The reason why I need this is because pretty permalinks structure is currently using to much resources of my server (about 4-5 times of the default permalinks structure), and if I disable it in the future I still want the linkbacks to my blog posts to be correctly.

Go to Dashboard -> Posts -> Edit and hold your cursor over an edit post link and look down in the browser status bar.

Make sure that your custom permalink structure starts with a number. See:

    ok thanks,

thanks for the advice as well. I tried out several combinations year/month/posttitle
    but also category/posttitle.

So I guess I should stick the the year/month/posttitle combination.
