• I need to know which file contains the list of IPs, spam words, etc. that is used in that part of WP. I need to edit it but not within the admin section, but manually. Please advise.

I’m referring the list of blocked IPs. Thanks.

And just in case there is any confusion about what I’m asking and I end up with questions instead of answers, I’m looking for the text file where the blocked IP addresses, spam words, etc. are stored.

    C’mon — someone — this is critical!

Thank you! But I cannot find an “array” called “moderation_keys”. I’m trying to verify that my own IP address is not in the block list. How do I do that? How do I search for it in phpadmin?

There should be a Search tab when first accessing your db in phpMyAdmin.

    Options > Discussion.
Look in the spam words list.

In the wp_options table, look for the moderation_keys entry.

This is an urgent request for clarification. Is it possible for someone to hack into a wordpress installation on a hosted domain and block the owner of that domain from ever accessing their site through wordpress? I have not been able to access my site for more than a week now and between my ISP and host, they’ve supposedly done all they can (refresh dns, etc.). Others can view my site, but I seem to be the only person on the planet who cannot. Even though I was able to access my host’s cpanel and view mysql records to determine whether or not my IP is listed as a blocked IP (it is not), I am still unable to view my site at debwire.com/blog. I’m left with the conclusion that I’ve been blocked somehow through wordpress, but I don’t know how to tell beyond the wp_options table and moderation_keys. Please advise!

No, this isn’t possible. However, spammers do spoof IP addresses. In some random bad chance, you could have blocked a spammer who was spoofing your IP address, thus blocking yourself.
