index.php Not Displaying posts since PHP5 Upgrade

Hello All,

I am having a problem with the home page of my wordpress blog.

We have recently just updated our server to PHP5 and everything seemed to be working fine. We have re-writing set up using permalinks and all these links work and display the posts.

However I have the blog installed in a folder called blog and when i try to access the blog by entering the web address /blog the blog template loads up but it displays the message ‘Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.’

However if i try to access the blog by entering the web address /blog/index.php the homepage displays all the posts in my blog correctly.

Has anybody else run into this problem before?

Any ideas on why this is happening would be greatly appreciated as I would prefer all references and links to my blog to be /blog rather than having to add the index.php on the end.
