Something like this would require custom coding in order to get it working the way you describe.
Doing a bit of research, I found the following thread, which seems to contain a code snippet that matches the description of what you are attempting to do:

I haven’t tried this myself, so I would suggest you proceed with caution (only doing this on a staging version of your site, after backing everything up); but it might be worth a try.
