Import data from CSV?

    Hi, I am trying to keep up with multiple gallery shows where we have 50 entries at a time. I would like to at least be able to upload from a csv file the artist name and description of the piece. I could attach them to the bulk image file upload manually.. I don’t see that next gen has the ability to upload records like that? Am I wrong?

    Hi @jefferisp7,

    Great question. To migrate NextGen’s content, you will need to follow the Basic Migration Outline:

    On origin site:

    Create a full verified backup of the site (all files and the entire database)
    Clear transients
    Copy all database tables
    Copy gallery folders and contents

    On destination site (WordPress default installation):

    Ensure NextGEN Gallery plugin(s) are installed (and activated)
    Paste gallery folders and contents
    Paste (overwrite) all database tables
    Clear transients
    Optional, use Reset Option under Gallery > Other Options

    We currently don’t have that option, but please, take some time and share that requirement with our “Feature Voting” form.

    Another temporal solution to your current problem is to use our “Imagely Lightroom plugin” https://www.imagely.com/wordpress-lightroom-plugin/
