• Hello!

I’m currently transforming my site into the Kale theme.
On my old website I used the plugin “Kolom Shortcodes from Codepress”To make different columns. Now I’m puting my sites into kale, using the boxes, but I’m not able to make colums with kolom shortcodes. Is there another way?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

I’ve never used this plugin but you should be able to add shortcode to page or post content in Kale. If you want to change the layout of pages and add columns you can use one of the page builder plugins: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/best-drag-and-drop-page-builders-for-wordpress/

    Kind regards

    Dear Jarek,

Thanks for the quick answer. I tried to download the plugins and watched their explaination. The only problem is that their explaination is on the page interface. With the block structure interface the toolbar on the top is not visable. For example I downloade the Page Builder Interface, but to create rows you need to click on the toolbar on top. But in de block structure interface there is no toolbar on top.

Is it possible to not have the block structure interface?

The problem is that when I start creating a page it starts in the Classic Editor, but once I saved it I can only open it in the block editor and I cannot return to the Classic Editor

Have you tried to use this plugin on other theme before? I don’t think this issue is related to our theme. I would recommend to contact with plugin author because it seems to be related to plugin.

    Thanks for the answer.
Yes I tried it before and it worked. I downloaded a plugin to use the Classic Editor and now it all works

    Hi mocadazu.

You should be able to edit a post or page in the Classic editor even after you create it.
Now, if you’ve updated WordPress to version 5.0.3 there’s one more thing you need to do in order to allow that functionality.

Please go to your dashboard then Settings-> Writing and enable the option Allow users to switch editors.
After that click “Save Changes” and then when you hover your mouse pointer over the post or page title you’ll see two options: Block Editor and Classic Editor.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards.
