• Hi,

To be able to modify a file via wordpress, you have to change the permissions to be able to be modified by the public. How can I ensure that other people won’t be editing the file?

    Please help with my question.

When finished editing, generally speaking, I think directories should be 755, files should be 644. Perhaps someone will verify or correct me if there is a safer or more widely accepted practice. If you are referring to files that you have edited using the WordPress editor, reset the permissions on the files back to 644 when you are done editing.
