Godaddy WordPress Site Doesn’t Publish

    hi,

    I’ve just installed wordpress and the admin page works fine but I couldn’t visit the site I’ve done. It keeps showing:

    The Web site coming soon
    If you are the owner of this web site you have not uploaded (or incorrectly uploaded) your web site. For information on uploading your web site using FTP client software or web design software, click here for FTP Upload Information.

    and I followed this method, it didn’t work out

    tried to find the index.html file to delete it, but there’s no such file appeared in my ftp program.

    Anyone can help? Please kindly advise. Thanks.

    The “This Web site is coming soon” page is generated by the default welcome.html file.

    Therefore, it sounds like you missed step 7 in those instructions –
    “Copy the index.php and .htaccess files from the WordPress directory into the root directory of your site (Blog address).”

    Once you have moved the index.php file from the WordPress directory to the root of the hosting, it will override the default welcome.html. You can test this by going to “yourdomain.com/Wordpress/index.php”, and if your site shows you have not moved the index.php file.
