    Good day,

My woo commerce site gives gaps between order numbers – currently on 4346 and often it skips few.

I installed your plugin (free) and would like no more gaps. My next order should be 4347.

    My settings are:
    Enable plugin – yes
    Order numbers counter – sequential
    Sequential: next order number: 4347
Sequential reset counter: disabled – I don’t want this update

I also don’t want to update previous orders.

How do I get this to work please?

    Hello again,

I clicked save changes and it changed all old order numbers – can this be reverted? It wasn’t supported to for previous accounting.

    Thanks

    Hi Fiona,

Thank you for explaining your requirement.

Some order numbers are skipped in the case when any client reaches the checkout page and then say something new is build up at the admin side say the creation of new products etc.,

In such a case, the order numbers are skipped. Order numbers are nothing but the post ids. I hope this clarifies your query for the order numbers is skipped.

Regarding changed all the old order numbers:

Can you please let me know whether you have clicked on the ‘Renumerate orders’ button which is present under the WooCommerce->Renumerate Orders submenu?

When this button is clicked then all the orders’ order numbers will be changed with the custom numbers otherwise it will not change.

If you have not clicked on this button and yet the old orders are impacted then I would request you to provide us the admin credentials of your site on ‘support at tychesoftwares dot freshdesk dot com’ so that I can check on the issue.

    Hi Komal,

Thank you for your feedback and explaining the skipped order numbers. Makes sense.

I only clicked “Save changes” at the bottom of the page and not “Renumerate Order Numbers”.

I will email you requested details, thank you.

    Hi Fiona,

Thank you for answering the question which I have asked in my last reply.

Yes, please. I shall check on your site when I received the credentials and we will continue to communicate over the ticket further.
