Hi,
Had the similar problem: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/blurry-header-images-2/#post-11023357
Do not use the template header change function. Simply set the header directly under pages menu as primary picture. And it will solve the problem.
Drop here a line if it is working.

Thanks Sim.
Do you mean the “Set featured Image” on the page editor? I did try that to no effect?
Sorry! I’m a novice wordpress usere. Not quite sure where to do this “pages menu as primary picture”?
Ps, I am using two themes so guessing this is not a problem & just need to edit the shopisle theme then switch back to twenty eleven?
Cheers,
Pages/featured image –> set featured image
For me it’s working except the my account page (under Shopisle) and of course I left the original home page
I’m using a custom css plugin and add a custom code as well pls try it:
.page-header-module:before{ background: none !important; }
Hi.
Thanks but sadly this is making no difference?
Have added the featured image & cleared/refreshed page.
Hi,
Unfortunately I have no other idea. These settings helped me to solve the same problem.
.page-header-module:before{ background: none !important; }
This along with your other suggestion has resolved this! Thank You!
Just need to crop slightly different now so image is not under nav.
Not sure if I’m allowed to ask on this thread, but on pc when I scroll down the nav bar changes from transparent to grey. When I scroll back up it returns to transparent. Ideal
This is sadly not the case on mobile device? The bar goes grey & remains this way?
Also the gold image is not responsive & is cut short of the full emblem?
Any tips to rectify these two issues?
Thanks a million for your help Sim!
Hi,
I’m also a beginner and just faced with this issue couple of days ago that’s why I’m also in the topic. Unfortunately no clue for the next issue… :/

Thanks again & all the best, Steve
Here is the header image related link to the item regarding the nav bar I used.
Works great on desktop. Hopeful for mobile resolve.
