    Hi there,

I have made some changes in the settings (search appearance, content types etc) of the plugin and updated some page titles via Yoast snippet around a week ago. When I logged back in to the website today, saw that all the settings and updates are gone. I see a notification from Yoast telling that something may have gone wrong due to recent updates in the Search Appearance but it’s only referring to faq content type. What would be the reason of this? Or did someone else also experience the same issue recently? Thanks!

  • We’re not aware of such issues in Yoast SEO. So, this could be either due to the site cache or the configurations you have made on past week hasn’t been saved properly.

If you reconfigure the Yoast SEO settings and save it, does this resolve the issue or it still reverts back to the original settings?

    Hi,

I have below notification from Yoast on my dashboard, that’s why wanted to ask:

“We’ve recently improved the functionality of the Search Appearance settings. Unfortunately, we’ve discovered that for some edge-cases, saving the settings for specific post type archives might have gone wrong.”

(wasn’t able to attach screenshot so just copied the notification)
    Thanks!

Following this message will be one or more messages like so:
Please check the [template_type] for the following content type: [content_type]

For each type listed, please go to Admin > SEO > Search Appearance and click on the appropriate tab for the listed content type(s).

Ensure that the settings regarding indexing, appearing in the sitemap, whether or not the meta box shows, the title and description templates (etc) are set correctly. If they are not correct, change them and save the settings. If they are correct, you can safely dismiss the notification as you were not affected.
