Don’t make it a default editor

    Keep in mind there are a lot of users who bought an editor like WP Bakery Builder en wil pay money to have better building facilities.
    At least give us a possibility to switch the editor off.
    Specialy for live sites running and made by professional editors.

    Don’t give the users the schock the might have to rebuild there live sites!!!

    Just install and activate Disable Gutenberg by Jeff Star and voilá, no more Gutenberg.

    Hiya,

    Nobody has to rebuild their site, their existing content should remain the same as always unless they convert it to the new format, in which case it should keep working although depending on themes and plugins markup may have changed a bit (this is also why we’ve been very vocal about the upcoming update to try and limit such scenarios).

    As for WPBakery’s Visual Composer, it is compatible with Gutenberg as of version 5.5, as described on their FAQ page.

    I’m curious about your experience wit the new editing experience though, would you mind sharing a little about it?

    I’m in absolute no favor of Gutenberg but the good folks over at WP Bakery Builder have now implemented an option to turn off Gutenberg so their editor still works like it used to. Just an FYI.

    It’s in the general settings of WP Bakery. Simple tick box that says “Disable Gutenberg Editor”…. and your done 🙂
