The form creation was easy enough, but when I tested the form by filling in the fields a couple of times, several areas on the screen flashed before the last field became usable. It is a disconcerting effect. Can it be eliminated? Why is it happening? I tested it on another site with the same results.

    Thank you,

    Cemal

    Hi acekin,

I’ve submitted a couple of test entries, and did not see the issue described (in case it helps, here’s a short screencast).

When you get the chance, could you give your form a try again? And if you still see any errors during submissions, please let me know more details on how to replicate the issue, such as the name and version of the device and browser you’ve used to test the form.

    Thanks 🙂

Thank you for looking into it. I am on Windows 10, MS Surface Book 2, using the Chrome browser. You can experience what I see by watching this short screen capture video:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/0kzc8diifgc5gah/window_flashes.wmv?dl=0

It seems to be triggered when the mouse is clicked in the text area field or the last field. When using Firefox, there is a little movement in the field itself but the flashes do not happen in the upper left and right of the viewport. It could negatively impact the user experience which is a concern for me. Microsoft Edge does not have any unexpected movement in any of the fields. So it seems to become increasingly problematic from Edge to Firefox to Chrome.

    Hi acekin,

    Thanks for the details!

Could you let me know the version of the Chrome browser you are using? I was not able to replicate the issue using the newer version of Chrome (71, 70, 69) on Windows 10.

Please let me know. Thanks! 🙂

    I am using the following:

Google Chrome is up to date
    Version 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)

    Firefox 64.0 Release
    December 11, 2018

The Windows 10 is up to date as well. The device is Microsoft Surface Book 2. Later, I will try on a different computer and report the result in case this is device specific.

    Thank you,

    Cemal

@ethanchoi, I have the culprit of the problem and it is an extension/add-on called Grammarly. I disabled all the extensions and the problem of flashing windows disappeared. Then I enabled a few at a time and pinpointed to Grammarly as the source of the problem.

    https://www.grammarly.com/

This may or may not happen with other extensions. It is up to you if you want to pursue this any further for your software’s sake. But, I am satisfied with the functionality of the plugin. Thank you for following through. I will mark it as resolved and remain curious as to the reason for the flashing fields.

    Take care,

    Cemal
