Deleting Folder Broke Site

    Hi,

    I was reorganising the images on my site through the MLF plugin, there was a folder, uploads, and two within that, 2015 and 2018. the sample images for the theme were int he 2015 folder, which I wanted to delete.
    I deleted all the images in uploads>2015>03, and then proceeded to delete the 03 file, and then did the same for uploads>2015>05, which were the only two folders in the 2015 folder, and then since 2015 was empty, I attempted to delete it, but it juste kept loading, so I tried accessing the site on another tab but it wouldnt load either, now whevnever I try to access the site it gives me an error saying too many redirects, I’ve cleared all my cookies which is what my browser suggested but that hasnt resolved the problem. Is there anything I can do to get the site back up or reverse what I did? Sorry if it was something simple i’m new to web development.

    I am able to view your site so it is not broken; you are just able to access the dashboard because of the redirect problem. The redirect issue is not related to Media Library Folders but could be caused by another plugin. I had a similar issue once and I was able to determine which plugin was causing this and I deactivated it by changing its plugin folder name. Since WordPress could not find the plugin, it does load it. Or here is a trick that will allow you to temporally deactivate all your plugins which is to rename your ‘plugins’ folder, such as ‘plugins2’, and then create a new folder ‘plugins’. Then go to the dashboard or log in if necessary. Once the wp-admin page loads remove the new ‘plugins’ folder and then rename ‘plugins2’ to ‘plugins’ and then you can continue to use the dashboard.

    Now for the folder tree not loading, this happens when a parent folder is missing in the folder tree and it is necessary to do a database reset to rebuild the folder tree data using the Media Library Folders Reset plugin that comes with Media Library Folders. To use the plugin:

    1. Deactivate Media Library Folders and activate Media Library Folders Reset and run the Reset Database option from the Media Library Folders Reset sub menu in the dashboard.
    2. After that, reactivate Media Library Folders. It will do a fresh scan of your media library database and no changes will be made to the files or folders on your site.
