    Hi,

I’m trying to install wordpress and i’ve done everything in the step by step guide and when I go to the wp-admin link nothing happens.

I’ve looked through my wordpress download and there are no files about wp-admin or installing etc. I’m using 2.7.1, are those files meant to not be there?

I need to get my site back up asap and I don’t know how to fix this.

I use 000webhost.com and Filezilla if that helps.

    Please help!

  • You shouid have a directory called WP-ADMIn not a file. Well actually think there is a wp-admin.css in that directory. If you are missing the file not everything was copied over.
Also a safe bet to download a fresh copy of the distribution and compare to what you have.

If you don’t have a folder named wp-admin in your root WordPress install folder then you did not upload all of the files in the WP install. You might want to upload all the files again anyway, just to be certain you got them all. Make sure you see those files in the WP file on your computer that you are uploading, because the problem could be they were not all extracted from the WP zip file you downloaded.
