@kim01,
I’m very sorry if our latest update crashed your site. I work really hard to ensure we have no errors in our codebase that cause crashes. We have automated testing to ensure there’s no simple syntax errors and I manually test every build against the latest version of WordPress to ensure the automations haven’t resulted in false positives.
I haven’t received any other reports of crashes with the latest release but my guess is that what’s happened is that there’s a new conflict of some kind resulting in this issue.
Unfortunately 500 errors (white screens) are exceedingly difficult for me to debug and resolve as there are so many different potential reasons why the site could have crashed.
I don’t know what version of PHP you were running prior to your update but it’s conceivable that you were on an older outdated version that LifterLMS doesn’t support.
In order to ensure this is resolved and your site doesn’t crash again can you please update LifterLMS to the latest version in a staging site and before doing so enable WordPress error reporting (see a guide here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/how-to-debug-a-white-screen/). This will ensure that if the upgrade does crash your site again we’ll be able to determine what the error causing the crash is so we can fix it.
Any questions let me know
@kimo1,
Since I haven’t heard back from you in a while I’m going to mark this topic resolved. If you need some more help here please just reply and I’ll reopen it and get back to work.
Best,
