Display post id # on the edit page?

I post id numbers to address my posts. I know how to use <?php the_ID(); ?> within the loop to display the post id number on the page, but how can I get get the post ID# to display on the wp-admin > Edit > Posts so that I can tell which post I’m while editing the post?
