Hi Hesham,
I just wanted to follow-up to confirm that the error extends across all article schema types, including our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy pages which also do not require images: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fgoldrate.com%2Fterms-of-use%2F%3Famp
The schema error causes the AMP pages to fail validation: https://search.google.com/test/amp?utm_source=gws&utm_medium=onebox&utm_campaign=suit&id=rvJIiN-wCx1PVyfEtn84mA
Thank you.

According to Google; every page must contain at least one image. (see the Required Properties for Article)
So, Google require at least one image for each Article, and it should be directly belongs to the article.
However; a quick solution could be done by defining a default call back image to apply to those Article that has no images. You can use the Schema Default Image extension to fix the error. (find it here)
NOTE: I just want to make sure you understand that using the Schema Default Image extension isn’t the ideal solution since the default image may not present all content on your site. The best thing to do is to go over all Articles and add a relevant and unique image to each of them).

Thank you for your helpful clarifications and suggestions, Hesham. Upon adding images to all articles the pages passed validation. As a fallback I have set a default image. These measures resolved the issue.

Hi Hesham,
My custom posts set as General Articles continue to fail structured data validation due to missing images even when the schema type is assigned a default image. For instance, please see https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fgoldrate.com%2Fgold-price-egypt%2F . Here is a screenshot of my settings

Any suggestion you can provide would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Maybe the default image isn’t updated yet across all content of the site.
Try saving the plugin settings once, then test the page again.

Hi Hesham,
Unfortunately, that did not work. I also subsequently purged the site’s cache. Is there anything else you would recommend to fix this issue? Thank you.
I am not sure why it’s not working on this specific custom post type! There is nothing wrong in your settings.
What happen when you edit a page and save it?

Hi Hesham, oddly enough the problem was resolved after I edited/updated a page and saved it just as as you advised! Thanks a lot!
Fix it. I came for the same problem. Thanks for your good add-on.
You should add article schema. I did this myself.
