Searching in categories

Hi
i’m using the normal version by now
My theme has custom post types apart from posts (not used). i mean, mainly one called ‘courses’
i wanted to know:
1- can i ONLY search in that ‘courses’? now the search results include also pages, and i dont want to. as a ‘permanent not shown filter’
can it be done? in the normal or in the pro version?
2- i try to show in the dropdown a list of categories of ‘courses’, but only appears ‘uncategorized’. i guess is from the posts categories
can it be done? in the lite or in the pro version?
3- how to search in real time as in the video demo in youtube?
