I was told by the theme developer that it was related to Gutenberg plugin, but maybe you are still correct. Would be great if you could have a quick look. If its a theme issue, then please give me some ammunition to send to the theme developer so they can pick it up again. 🙂

Sorry, but I only look at publically available sites. Your theme developer is probably the best person to provide the Gutenberg / Core developers with the necessary information to file a github issue/bug report.
