    hallo,

when publishing a post which should generate notifications (according to the setup), everything works well (thanks for a great plugin). However, it’s not clear from the documentation how the Notify(box)->”Select some options” field works, when publishing a post. There is a link to the notify documentation, but this does not help in this case.

My expectation would be that this box would *override* the roles set on the PP configuration page. However, it seems as though this works to set an *additional* role/s on the publish (or whatever) status change.

    Can you please clarify?

    Hi @richardfoley

    Thanks for using PublishPress.

Yes, this is somewhere that the PublishPress UI could be better.

We thinking of expanding the “Notify” box to also show the Notifications that apply for that piece of content.

At the moment, people in the “Notify” box only receives the notifications for the workflows that have “Users who selected “Notify me””

Also coming soon – the ability to include non-WordPress users in this box.

ok, understood, although I’d heavily agree the UI is wacky and misleading there, currently. Otherwise, the plugin is very intuitive, and works just fine. (y)

Being able to “quick-fix” the notifications from that “Notify” box at publish time would be the most intuitive way forward, imho. And you already have the checkboxes in place, too. Keen to see what you do with this corner (box).

    Thanks @richardfoley

Yes, no disagreement from us. We need to improve the UI of this part of PublishPress.
