    Hi,

I’m getting the following notification after installing Wordfence.

Wordfence could not register with the Wordfence scanning servers when it activated. You can try to fix this by deactivating Wordfence and then activating it again, so Wordfence will retry registering for you. If you keep seeing this error, it usually means your WordPress server can’t connect to our scanning servers, or your wfConfig database table cannot be created to save the key. You can try asking your host to allow your server to connect to noc1.wordfence.com or check the wfConfig database table and database privileges.

In Diagnostics, it’s showing these Connectivity errors:

Connectivity Ability to connect to the Wordfence servers and your own site.
    Connecting to Wordfence servers (http)
wp_remote_post() test to noc1.wordfence.com failed! Response was: cURL error 7: Failed to connect to noc1.wordfence.com port 80: Connection refused
    Connecting to Wordfence servers (https)
wp_remote_post() test to noc1.wordfence.com failed! Response was: cURL error 7: Failed to connect to noc1.wordfence.com port 443: Connection refused
    Connecting back to this site
    OK – 185.176.43.88

    Thanks!

  • Hi @joewebbar,

May I have your cURL version?

It is under Diagnostics -> PHP Environment -> Checking for cURL support.

    Hi @joewebbar,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while. I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks!
