Definitely not. Your site is yours, and no one else has access.

If you have received email from the site before (like when you first installed it, or from comment notifications, etc.) then it’s likely that the sending of emails is working.
Are you sure you are checking the correct email address? And have you checked the spam folder? Could your email client be deleting it as spam?

You can go in and check the database to see that you have the correct email address. You can even use phpMyAdmin to set a new password, but you have to be careful and make sure it is stored in the correct format.
