That is a pretty detailed tutorial. I think it must also assume that you have at least a minimal amount of exposure to the material it covers (css, html, javascript, wordpress theme file/php familiarity) beforehand.
Have you looked at any of the plugin options?

Your provided link has sufficient details but you have to modify your wordpress code accordingly..if you do not have any idea on code modification then alwasy check first the plugin..do not go for the code modification.

hi,
i tried the wordpress-css-drop-down-menu, but also i can’t make it work. i followed the instructions precisely, but strangely enough it doesn’t work.
i have no clue what to do? i think it must be a simple problem, but for a newbie in css design it’s quite hard to solve.
