Cannot access website

Hi. I cannot access the backend of my WordPress website. When I log in to the site I am taken to the blog home page but it has completely changed in format and the links to all of the other parts of my webpage are missing. When I try to access my dashboard it says I don’t have access. I have been in contact with Hostgator and they cannot seem to fix the problem despite trying for 1.5 hours and feel it is a WordPress issue. I need to be able to access the backend so I can restore my website through updraft plus. I notice in the website cPanel the last back up has a different ending to all the others. When I previously tried to restore my website I think I restored this file which appears to be faulty. I need to be able to restore the previous backup or even the one before. Please help.
