    Hi,

    When clicking on a TA link on a post, it first goe to ‘about:blank’ and then the destination url? Something I’m doing wrong?

    Also, I want to force the affiliate destination url to go to the homepage instead of anywhere else.

    Main reason being commission theft as some merchants appear to be changing the offer, grabbing the visitor details and not paying for the referral.

    Unless I can find a way to stop this (unlikely I guess) I can’t see a way of preventing this so the merchant is getting free traffic and not paying for it.

    Having some 400 links, its difficult to manage the merchants urls to make sure that they are working right as they rarely tell you that they have changed the link 🙁

    I guess you know what I’m referring too

    Loving the plugin and plan to upgrade 🙂

    Thanks for getting in touch!

    The ‘about:blank’ issue happens when the connection is not fast enough and “Enable Enhanced Javascript Redirect on Frontend” setting is enabled. You can disable this setting to prevent this from happening but please keep in mind that this feature is needed for better link performance reporting.

    Unfortunately, we don’t have a feature to force an affiliate destination to go to the homepage. The Cloaked URL should redirect to the Destination URL that you’ve set on your Affiliate Links settings.

    Lastly, I’d like to introduce a feature of our Thirsty Affiliates Pro called Link Health Checker. This feature allows you to monitor your affiliate links and validates if the affiliate links are still redirecting where you are expecting them to go. It also notifies you if the affiliate link is broken or redirects to a 404 error page.     I wish all authors responded so quickly, my thanks

    I am looking to by the pro version and give it a test/run for sure.

    With commission theft on the rise (according to reports) many merchants are redirecting to another page so as to avoid paying commission and worse, grabbing free traffic and visitors signups!

    Its tough enough as it it is without having to worry about such behavour.

    Hi,

    I have found the problem…

    When selecting Modules > Uncloak Links, the problem is resolved in that all links work correctly?

    If I then ‘enable’ it, the problem returns?

    But as this ‘replaces the cloaked url with the actual destination url’ I cannot see any use for this plugin?
