Hi Birgit. The copyright name field in the customizer can only be text as the field does not allow html (such as a link). I’m guessing you wanted to link your copyright name?
Hi Andre,
I see.
No, I dont’t link the copyright name but I would like to complete the footer text with a link to the imprint (impressum) and data protection (Datenschutz) – it’s very important in Germany / EU. That was the idea.
Hopefully I understand right; you need a link in the footer area? This theme has a footer menu location available:

You can create a menu, then assign it to the footer menu location. A quick tutorial for Equable Lite menus HERE
Sorry, sometimes I can not think of the right words.
Yes, I want to create a footer menu ;-)))
I know how to create it and I have done it – but it isn’t displayed.
(I created a new menu and I managed the position.)
Have you an idea?
Thanks again.
(If you need access I will send you a private mail.)
No need to apologize for anything 🙂
I know this might sound crazy, but when you made your footer menu and checked the box next to the Footer menu location setting, did you click to Save the menu? I ask this because I know people miss that last step–even I did yesterday with my own site.
Hi Andre,
it’s not crazy. You have to exclude the main faults.
But, yes, I saved the menu and the menu location setting. But the menu isn’t displayed…
Hmmm, not sure what to suggest here because on my end, I just tested the theme with a footer menu and it worked. The only way is to login and look at what might be happening but unfortunately I can’t request that here at wordpress.org because it’s not permitted here.
Trying to think what else could be preventing your menu from showing but can’t think of anything. There is also another menu location that is there in the footer that is for a social icon menu. The only option is to make a new menu for social links. When you make the menu, you will make custom links from the menu where the urls you enter in for each link is a social profile link. You don’t have to have a social page, so just add for example:
http://twitter.com and then for the label, type Twitter
http://faccebook.com and then type in Facebook for the label
http://instagram.com ….etc.
Then assign the menu to the social menu location. This is only to test if the menu for the social shows up.
Last Resort if you can’t get any menu to show there in the footer, the Equable Lite theme does have a footer widget sidebar there. You can always create a text link (or text links) in a text widget and publish the widget to the “Footer” sidebar position.
Hi Andre,
yes, that is the solution. I also have to manage the position for the socail menu in the footer – then the footer menu is displayed. Thank you so much.
