please to go to BackWPUp -> Settings -> Job tab -> Reduce server load and choose medium and then try again 🙂

Hmm, please try the following:
Go to BackWPUp -> Jobs -> choose your job -> in General tab choose another archive backup format like Gzip, Tar or Bz2
