Unable To Use Adsense

Hey guys, so I just started using anywhere elementor on a site that isn’t published yet, however when I use the HTML widget to save it as a post template, I pasted my adsense code inside the post of the HTML widget that is inside of my posts, upon saving it though it doesn’t show the ad and just shows a snippet of code? Any help please!
