Free WordPress.com blog to WordPress.org

Hi all. I am a beginner in all of this so I appreciate your patience. I have a blog started using the WordPress.com free blog software. I also now own my own domain through Bluehost and went through their simple script so that it automatically created a database and unique MYSQL user with all admin rights.

I don’t know where to go from here. I followed the directions, exported and then imported the information but nothing changed when I went to log back into WordPress. I just typed in my URL, went to “Dashboard” and didn’t see the ability to add plugins or the like.

The documentation was a bit confusing. How do I get my old blog hosted on the WordPress.com servers to my own server now through BlueHost?
