Social media icons, search button, adding video links in portfolio

I accidentally removed the social media buttons code while removing the “theme and powered by wordpress” text. How do you get the social media buttons without the additional created/powered by text?

Also, how can I remove the search icon and drop down search box that appears near the home, about, portfolio and contact section. It appears if you hover in the space above those buttons, I do not need or want the post search feature.

Is it possible to create a video portfolio using vimeo video links?
