The Classic theme has Lucida Grande, Lucida Sans Unicode and Verdana in its font list. If you don’t have the first font, it drops to the second font in the list and so on. If you don’t have any of the above fonts installed on your machine, it defaults to using whatever sans-serif font is configured within your web browser.
didn’t you take a look at it’s css file?
font-family: ‘Lucida Grande’, ‘Lucida Sans Unicode’, Verdana, sans-serif;

Not everyone can ‘read’ a CSS file easily. It does take some practice and experience.
