• Hello,
I am working on my webpage and trying to create a login / registration portal. So I managed to create the forms and the pages, then I managed to create the menus (with visibility adjustment based on login status). However, here are my questions
1- The menu links are not working well. if I clink on “about” link on my menu, it direct me to the home page. when i disabled the UM plugin, the link worked fine. This happened to the other links on the top menu. I can see the link on the left lower corner of the screen when i hover my mouse on the link, but then when i click on it, it takes me to a strange URL and ends up in the home page. Can someone help figuring out the conflict between the menu links and the UM plugin?
2- When a new member complete the registration form and clicks on “register button” the same “register” page loads up again and I am unable to find where to make this goes to the home page.
3- No emails are being sent to new users after completion the registration form. I am receiving email on my admin email about new users though. I only have two plugins so I doubt that there is plugin conflict issue “may be”.

Thanks for reading all that. I have spent more than 48 hours doing things again and again trying to fix what seems to be simple task.
Thanks in advance for your help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @mkadhim,

    1. Please go to the Dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus and check your menu item links.

2,3. It looks like a conflict with your theme or other plugins, please do a quick conflict test and see if it solves these issues.
Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Regards.

Thank you for your response. The problem was not solved :-/
1- I only have ultimate member plugin working and I downgraded from 2017 theme to 2015 theme and still no registration verification email are sent although I am still receiving registration confirmation emails to my admin inbox.

2- I noticed that the users role is still listed as “0 = none” although I made “subscriber” default for all new registered users.

3- Also, once a new user completed the registration form and hit “register” button, the same registration page loads again which is confusing. Although I have specified the details “registration message and URL direct” on ultimate member > user roles. Why?

4 – When a user log out , the logout page is not loaded and only an empty page is loaded (although the URL is correct).

I have been working on this for the last few days and I made no real progress. I hope someone tell me whats wrong.
    Thanks

I am on the verge of deleting ultimate member application and looking for a different plugin.

    Hi @mkadhim,

Have you edited your database or had other membership plugins installed?
What PHP version do you have on your server?
Please check the error.log file of your server and see if you have any errors there.

I’m afraid, it looks like you have some issues on your server or hosting porvider side.
Can you please try to test this on the clean WordPress install or on the staging environment? You can also check this on the free worpdress sandbox.

    Regards.

    Hi,
No one has done any database members
    The php version is 7.0.32

I created error.log file and now i can see these php errors right on my home page (please see below)

I admit i am not php expert at all not even at minimum. I am learning and mostly using simplified plugins to create my blog. that is why i chose ultimate member but this has been a long hassle.
    please advice
